Woah, Trub, would you mind sharing your build for that? I knew Splinter Weapon was good...but the damage in that picture is insane...

I'm guessing his build is using Splinter Weapon + Barrage on a tightly packed group of enemies.

I guess...but even so, according to the wiki you wouldnt be getting 65 damage from splinter unless you had 20 in channeling magic, which I think is impossible...

The ability of a Ritualist to be a good offensive character depends on your ability to add more than one physical to a build, and your ability to put Splinter Weapon on them on recharge. If you can handle that, you can be an effective offensive Ritualist. If you cannot, well, you need more help than I can give.

Ritualists don't deal much direct damage but it doesn't mean their offensive ability is weak. They can generate disgusting amount of damage indirectly. Splinter weapon is one example. You can also spam ancestor's and great dwarf armor on high mysticism sandstorm bomber. Mix it with life, great dwarf breath, protective was kaolai to get extremely easy to run aoe beast.

This with some solid channeling+daggers scared me when I wasn't prepared for it, but when you're ready you still might want to run depending on the build in use. The animations for weapons look awesome, too.
I still experiment with this on occassion.

The Rit/W Build with Spirits Strenghts Cyclone Axe, Dismember, Wirlwind, and Flurry just chops off everything whats in the way in GW:EN and some naughty Assassins in AB, too. It is so refreshing to play.
